The Beginning

As I glanced around campus on the first day of school, I noticed a lot of students were primped and ready to make a statement....A fashion statement that is! It kind of reminded of middle school, when I was excited for the first day of school just so I can I wear my brand new outfit. However, now that I'm in college, I have realized that its way more potent to leave an outstanding academic statement, than a fashion statement.

Don't get me wrong, you should always look your best! In the words of my middle school principal, "When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you do good!" The phrase is so true, but people remember by what you did not what you look like.

So with that said I would like to encourage the students of Del.State to take more pride in their work, and don't be afraid to reach out for help.

There is plenty of assistance to students, but you have to search for it.

If you need help in writing or math, there are tutoring sessions held on the 2nd Floor of the William C. Jason Library.

Students should also get involved. Join campus clubs, or organizations. But always prioritize your time.

Remember, the main purpose of a news blog is to inform readers about a topic and share information you have found on the internet that may interest them. Your first post is reading more like a journal than a news blog. Try to find a topic that better fits, and remember to post at least three items each week. See me if you need help.
